Apple iPhone users can now send WhatsApp group messages through Siri

All the iPhone users can now update there WhatsApp for new features to allow users to send WhatsApp group messages directly by talking to Siri easily. Previously, support for siri was integrated into the WhatsApp app to send to individual messages.

To send a group message, just activate Siri and say send a message to WhatsApp group. Siri will confirm the group name from the chat list and then you will have to speak your out message and tell Siri to send it.

Interestingly, the new update is also adding media preview feature on iOS notifications. With this, you no longer need to open WhatsApp every time on your iPhone to see photos or GIFs.

The app will show the preview of the message on the notification itself. This feature is reportedly being tested for now and you could get it soon. Also, users can download media files directly from the notification. The new features are available on iOS 10 and above.

In India, WhatsApp is fighting the problem of violence caused by the spread of fake news on its platform. The company is reportedly testing a new feature called 'Suspicious Link Detection'. According to a report on wabetainfo.com website that tracks upcoming changes on WhatsApp, the instant messaging app is working on a feature that allows users to detect if a received link is marked as suspicious.

As the name suggests, the feature will warn users if the link received has some suspicious content. The suspicious link feature will detect any dangerous or spam link received in a message and then warn users before they click on it.

WhatsApp has also announced that its users in India will not be allowed to forward more than five chats at once and the company will remove the quick forward button that appears next to media messages, as part of its efforts to reduce the circulation of fake messages.
