This new feature of group video call was first announced at the Facebook annual developers' conference and this has long been expected for. Much has been said about the feature and here, Whatsapp has finally brought out group voice and video calling for iOS, Android and Windows smartphone users.


All at a time, users can communicate with each other on voice and video with a considerable number of people. Users of iOS need to update their current app to the latest version to have this feature enable on their Whatsapp app while the Whatsapp Beta/Stable version is available for Android users to take advantage of the new group voice and video calling features. However, Windows Phone users do not have the features available on their devices but soon be available.

Follow these simple steps for the new group voice and video call:

• Initiate a video call with a participant. At the right top corner from the video interface, click on the add participant. Immediately after you click on the add participant icon, it will then show you your contact list where you can have access to select participant of your choice.

• As soon as you include a participant in the video call, the participant will be alerted including the other people you included. 

• Participants can’t be added at a goal because the video calling interface only permits a participant to be added in the order they follow. This means that you can only add another participant when the first participant has accepted your request. 

• The screen will split into four screens following the acceptance of the invitation made to participants while displaying each participant in a different box. 

•    Only the person that started the call can add members to the group call.

•   In a group call, an upper limit of four participants can be added. These four participants include the person that started the call.
